Industry Veteran joins Company Executive Leadership Team January 5

December 17, 2025 – McLean, Va. – AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading provider of mission essential and information engineering services to federal customers, announced the appointment of Lauren Kilcoyne as the Company’s new Chief Operating Officer effective January 5, 2026.
As COO, Kilcoyne will oversee operations, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure the effective execution of the employee-owned company’s strategic objectives. She will play a lead role in developing and implementing business plans and procedures to drive long-term value and play a critical role in the company’s acquisition strategies.

Kilcoyne, who brings over 20 years of leadership and operational excellence, has held senior roles at organizations including Astrion, Empower AI, Capgemini, Leidos, and Lockheed Martin. Her experience spans government and commercial sectors, with expertise in cyber security, artificial intelligence, information technology, systems engineering, and business development. Kilcoyne holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Villanova University.
