Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Pflugrath joined AMERICAN SYSTEMS in 2010 and is currently responsible for driving new business growth for the corporation measured as year-over-year increases in bid quantity, quality, and gross bookings. In this role, he is accountable for aligning the company’s business development activities to support delivery of our strategic solutions to address our clients’ missions. Mr. Pflugrath provides consistent and repeatable service experiences for strategic accounts, capture management, proposal development, solutioning, IDIQ administration, and marketing communications.
Before being named VP of Business Development in 2016, Mr. Pflugrath held several roles with increased responsibility within the company, including General Manager/VP of one of our business units delivering custom solutions to Federal Law Enforcement in the areas of advanced forensic and biometrics science, and large-scale healthcare informatics to the Defense Health Agency. Prior to AMERICAN SYSTEMS, Mr. Pflugrath held executive leadership positions at Raytheon/BBN Technologies, delivering advanced computer science R&D solutions to DARPA in machine learning, semantics, and natural language processing. Earlier at Stanley Associates (now CGI), Mr. Pflugrath was an executive and led contractor teams in support of U.S. operations around the world to include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Somalia, and Bosnia.
Mr. Pflugrath earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the College of William & Mary and a Master of Science in Software Engineering from George Mason University.
