CONNECTIONS II (CNX II), scheduled for late 2010/early 2011, is a $5 billion, 10-year multiple award contract that will be the government's one-stop shop for obtaining telecommunications, network and communications solutions. CNX II will meet government agencies' equipment, building, and campus infrastructure needs, and it will provide professional services to support existing networks and design customized client-specific solutions. Whether an agency requires transition planning and integration services or infrastructure installation and implementation, CNX II will provide a comprehensive solution for all federal agency telecommunications needs.
CNX II will:
- Provide access to highly-qualified, experienced government telephony focused industry partners and vendors.
- Complement and enhance Networx and regional telecommunications contracts
- Help agencies acquire network equipment under Supply Chain Risk Management principles and best practices.
- Provide agencies access to Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI cleared personnel.
- Allow for fixed price and T and M types of contracts and provide agencies the choice of Direct Order or using GSAs Assisted Acquisition capability.

Period of Performance: Ten-year period of performance:
Base period of four years;
Six one-year options.
Geography: The minimum geographic requirement is contractors shall provide services within the Continental United States. Connections II contractors are not required to deliver services in foreign countries, but can propose solutions on task orders based on their company's ability to deliver those services in the specified geographic area.
Award Type: CNX II will be a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract procured as a FAR 15 acquisition.
