Easy-to-Use Risk Management Tool Enhances Risk Visibility, Encourages Proactive Communication to Reduce Cost, Schedule and Performance Risk
August 18, 2008 — Chantilly, VA — AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced that its web-based Risk Radar Enterprise risk management application has earned Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) certification. Risk Radar Enterprise was accredited through the formal NMCI validation process, which is required of all information systems connecting to NMCI.
“At any one time, all federal agencies — and the DoD, in particular — are juggling an incredible number of projects that run from the mundane to the complex and require significant program oversight to ensure they are completed on time, on budget and in compliance with program specifications,” said William C. Hoover, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “What is more, the better equipped government project managers are to identify, analyze, track and control risks through solutions like Risk Radar Enterprise, the more they can save taxpayers by avoiding cost overruns and delays.”
Risk Radar Enterprise enables comprehensive oversight of cost, schedule, technical and performance risk to evaluate and reduce life-cycle costs of federal, DoD and commercial programs. Designed for maximum ease of use, the application allows all users on a project to participate in the risk management process. Managers can then quickly review risk information on screen or in any of 23 standard reports and make informed decisions about which risks to accept, avoid, mitigate or transfer.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS has more than a decade of risk management experience, having facilitated more than 300 independent risk assessments of government and commercial programs. In addition to risk assessments, AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ risk management services include Risk Policy, Plan and Process Development, Information Assurance and Security Assessments, and Consulting and Staff Augmentation. Risk Radar Enterprise can augment these services, or be used independently to support client risk management objectives.
