Army Officials to Participate in Kick-Off Event at AMERICAN SYSTEMS Headquarters
October 4, 2006 – Chantilly, VA: AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned company with a 30-year history of delivering high-quality solutions to the government, today announced a partnership with the U.S. Army to participate in the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program, which connects Army soldiers with potential employers after completion of service. AMERICAN SYSTEMS will sign an agreement to provide priority hiring status to qualified soldiers participating in the PaYS Program during a kick-off event at the company’s Chantilly, VA headquarters today.
“Partnering with the U.S. Army in the PaYS program is a win-win for both AMERICAN SYSTEMS and the U.S. Army,” said Lieutenant Colonel Burl W. Randolph, Jr., Commander of the United States Army Baltimore Recruiting Battalion. “AMERICAN SYSTEMS will have the opportunity to connect with highly trained, cleared individuals, and the Army will be able to provide Soldiers with top notch employment opportunities upon completion of service.”
PaYS was developed to help the Army attract, train and deploy talented young people who want to serve their country, but also want to help secure their future success once their Army service is complete. Under the terms of the partnership between the U.S. Army and AMERICAN SYSTEMS, enlistees interested in gaining specific job training and qualifications will receive that education and preparation while in the Army.
The AMERICAN SYSTEMS PaYS Program launch event will take place today, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the company’s headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. Local Army commanding officers and personnel will be in attendance including members of the U.S. Army Baltimore Recruiting Battalion, the primary recruiting battalion on this initiative.
“We plan to offer many career opportunities for our Nation’s heroes at AMERICAN SYSTEMS,” noted Bill Hoover, AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ President and CEO. “Given our strong footprint in the Department of Defense (DoD), we are always looking for highly qualified individuals that truly understand our customer. By hiring experienced Army veterans – the same individuals who have been responsible for driving the U.S. critical missions from inside the Army – we are able to provide incredible value and perspective as a government contractor.”
