AMERICAN SYSTEMS Appoints Charles Foote to Lead Custom Business Applications Directorate

Seasoned Executive to Spearhead Development of Tailored Business Solutions for Federal Customers’ Specific Needs  

February 2, 2009 – Chantilly, VA – AMERICAN SYSTEM  today announced the appointment of Charles Foote to vice president and director of the Custom Business Applications (CBA) directorate. Mr. Foote will oversee the development and deployment of unique IT solutions and systems integration services for federal customers.

Mr. Foote will lead the CBA directorate’s case and records management efforts and development of network architecture and business intelligence solutions, laboratory information systems and Web portals for federal government customers.  Mr. Foote will also drive current CBA efforts to craft analytical tool sets for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Synchronized Pre-Deployment & Operational Tracker (SPOT), a contractor management and accountability system that provides a central source of contractor information.

Mr. Foote brings more than 35 years of federal business and IT solutions development experience to AMERICAN SYSTEMS. He most recently served as the executive vice president of technical services for Infoscitex Corporation, where he oversaw IT services business development within the DoD and intelligence markets. Before joining Infoscitex Corporation, Mr. Foote was the vice president of intelligence and information sharing at L-3 Communications, where he developed information sharing and IT solutions for commercial, DoD and national intelligence communities.

Mr. Foote holds a Master of Public Administration from Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX, and will be based out of AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ Chantilly, Va. office.
